The team from S4C show Casa Dudley have been in touch and are going to come and do some filming in the shop. They are bringing along some guests who will be trying out our Welsh specialities such as Cariad Blush sparkling wine and the fantastic beers from the likes of Great Orme Brewery. Plus there'll be a drop of Penderyn whisky to be enjoyed, we are sure.
Wales is well-blessed with great drinks makers. Even cider is enjoying a renaissance thanks to the likes of Toloja. We just need more wine makers!
Our first wine tasting takes place in the shop on October 23. We have some stunning wines to try including some top quality Spanish and Aussie reds - so if you've wondered how on earth a bottle of wine can cost more than £20, then come and give them a try. You'll see what the fuss is about, we promise. The tasting is free but as space is limited we need to book people in, so call Julie in 01492 573050 if you are interested.
We'll have lots more space, and lots and lots more wine, at our big pre-Christmas tasting at the Royal Cambrian Academy on the evening of November 20. Tickets are £10 but if you order a case on the night we'll knock the ticket price off the cost. It's going to be a fantastic event with top notch and great value reds and whites from around the world that will give your Christmas an extra sparkle. We are waiting for the tickets to come back from the printers but if you want to reserve some then let Julie know.
